Fulfyld chooses inVia Robotics to automate warehouses

inVia Robotics, a fulfillment automation systems provider, has been selected by Fulfyld, a third-party logistics company provider specializing in e-commerce fulfillment, to integrate a complete warehouse execution system (WES) and an autonomous mobile robot solution in its Huntsville, Alabama warehouse.

Created specifically to address the unique challenge of random access to inventory required with e-commerce fulfillment, the integration of inVia’s Robotics Suite as a Service (RaaS) will be rolled out into Fulfyld’s existing facilities as they continue to fulfill order without interrupting daily operations.

The system will include:

  • InVia PickerWall system which includes a fleet of inVia Picker AMR
  • inVia Logic, the WES software based on artificial intelligence
  • InVia’s Robotics Operation Center (ROC) for 24/7 monitoring and support

Fufyld will benefit from a reliable workforce of inVia Picker robots to make the entire journey nonstop to retrieve ordered SKUs each day and deliver them to inVia’s dynamic collection and picking wall where people pick up individual items.

As a result, people only walk a few inches between withdrawals versus miles, and withdrawal rates increase 4-5 times.

As eCommerce businesses continue to thrive, the needs of 3PLs have rapidly evolved. Traditionally, retail store fulfillment required less manpower because full cartons and pallets of similar SKUs were shipped.

In contrast, eCommerce orders are made up of an ever-changing combination of SKUs, all in small quantities and directed to different locations. This has created the need for more manpower, all at a time when manpower has never been so scarce.

Lior Elazary, CEO and co-founder of inVia Robotics, says, “We specifically designed our system to increase productivity in eCommerce operations where more manpower is required to ship directly to consumers.

“As consumer demands for next-day or same-day delivery rise and labor supplies decline, we are able to help 3PLs keep up and meet their SLAs.

“We are honored to have been chosen by Fulfyld to automate their fulfillment operations and look forward to helping strengthen their business.”

InVia systems are offered on a subscription basis, where customers pay only for system productivity.

There are no large capital expenditures or equipment ownership and maintenance charges, and technology upgrades are included in the price of the system.

Therefore, as new features and performance improvements are added, customers benefit from seamless updates. inVia operates the robotic system with 24/7 monitoring and support, and ensures that manpower – both people and robots – is handled throughout the day to fulfill orders on time.

AJ Khanijow, CEO of Fulfyld, says, “The inVia RaaS model is ideal for eCommerce 3PLs like ours because it allows us to avoid big CapEx, which ultimately helps Fulfyld deliver better prices to customers.”

Spencer Mundt, chief operating officer of Fulfyld, says: “It also extends our operational resources, not only by integrating our workforce with robots, but also by finding greater efficiency in our workflows so that our teams can work in a way. smarter.

“We looked at all the automation solutions on the market and only inVia provided the level of flexibility and increased productivity we needed for the level of service we are committed to providing our customers.”
